Chill dag

Jag hade måndag igår så för mig är det tisdag idag, men det är det ju inte lack och lov för då går tiden ännu snabbare än det känns som.

Jag kom ut på morgonpromenad 30 minuter tidigare än vanligt. Idag tog jag inte med mig nån tröja, det visade sig att man verkligen inte behövde det då det är varmare än det var i lördags och igår.

Eftersom brorsan behöver en dammsugare och vi hade sett just en sån modell han vill ha till ett mycket bra pris på Elon åkte vi iväg till Enebyäng där den närmaste Elon finns. I samma område finns det även en matvaruaffär Stora Coop, just tillägget "stora" till Coop är helt nytt för mig. Butiken var fräsch med ett bra utbud av allt, dom hade ett bra erbjudande på jordgubbar 2 askar för 100 kr så självklart köpte vi det.

Ullis bjöd på en sån god efterrätt när jag var där, vit chokladkladdkaka. Den fick jag recept på och idag har jag bakat den. Stora Coop hade slut på vit bakchoklad men jag hittade en ny Marabou chokladkaka golden Caramel med 5 kr rabatt så den tog jag istället. Kakan var superenkel att göra och det krävdes bara en kastrull där man blandade ihop alla ingredienser innan smeten skulle ner i formen.

Vi har precis haft eftermiddagsfika med kladdkakan tillsammans med lättvispad grädde och jordgubbar. Mamma Yvonne och pappa Ben tyckte kakan var supergod för att inte tala om jordgubbarna från Stora Coop, dom var söta och smakade precis som jordgubbar ska smaka. Jag som inte är nån stor kaffedrickare var den enda som drack kaffe till kakan, mitt cappuccino-snabbkaffe passade perfekt till kakan.

Imorse såg det ut som vi skulle få strålande sol hela dagen men ju längre dagen framskred desto mer moln kom det, men temperaturen är fortfarande behaglig. Nåt som jag verkligen bävar för när jag åker tillbaka hem till ön är just den tryckande hettan som blir svårare och svårare att orka med ju äldre jag blir. Det ska verkligen bli skönt att komma tillbaka till Europa när det nu blir, min förhoppning är att jag då ska kunna tillbringa 6-8 veckor i Sverige tillsammans med Ginger när det är som hetast i Spanien.

Chill day

I had Monday yesterday, so for me it's Tuesday today, but it's good that it's only Monday so that the time doesn't goes by even faster than it feels like.

I got out for my morning walk 30 minutes earlier than usual. Today I didn't bring a sweater, it turned out that you really didn't need it as it's warmer than it was on Saturday and yesterday.

Since my brother needs a vacuum cleaner and we had seen just the kind of model he wants at a very good price at Elon, we went to "Enebyäng" where the nearest Elon is. In the same area there is also a grocery store "Stora Coop", the addition "stora" to Coop is completely new to me. The store was fresh with a good selection of everything, they had a good offer on strawberries 2 boxes for USD 10 so of course we bought that.

Ullis served us such a delicious dessert when I was there, white sticky chocolate cake. I got the recipe from her and today I baked it. Stora Coop was sold out of white baking chocolate, but I found a new Marabou chocolate cake golden caramel with a discount of 5 SEK, so I took that chocolate instead. The cake was super easy to make and all you needed was a saucepan where you mixed all the ingredients together before pouring the batter into the pie dish.

We've just had afternoon coffee with the cake together with lightly whipped cream and strawberries. Mum Yvonne and dad Ben thought the cake was super delicious, not to mention the strawberries from Stora Coop, they were sweet and tasted just like strawberries should taste. I, who am not a big coffee drinker, was the only one having coffee with the cake, my cappuccino instant coffee went perfectly well with the cake.

This morning it looked like we were going to have bright sunshine all day but as the day progressed the more clouds came, but the temperature is still pleasant. Something that I really dread when I will go back home to the island is precisely the oppressive heat that gets harder and harder to cope with the older I get. It will be really nice to come back to Europe whenever it happens, my hope is that I will be able to spend 6-8 weeks in Sweden together with Ginger when it is at its hottest in Spain.
