Död ödla & likmaskar

Det var tur att Ginger och jag gick en längre promenad vid 16-tiden för inte långt efter att vi var hemma igen kom regnet och det regnade till sena kvällen. Ginger försökte sitt vanliga med att titta bedjande på mig medan hon gnäller lite för att få till en promenad till, men jag vet att hon inte vill gå ut när det regnar. Jag öppnade dörren och sa åt Ginger att hon kan gå ut i trädgården om hon vill men hon vände och gick in igen när hon såg hur mycket det regnade.

Trots att vi fick en hel del regn försvann allt vatten ner i marken så vi har inga extra pooler och det var heller inga stora vattensamlingar runt om i Procab.

Ginger och jag blev väckta av en dunk, jag trodde att det var en fågel som flög in i ett fönster men det var det nog inte.  Efter lite morgonmys med Ginger kom vi ut på promenad tidigare än vanligt. När Ginger såg hanhunden som brukar rasta sig själv här i Procab gjorde hon hopsasteg, hon var ivrig att få hälsa men hennes ivrighet skrämde hanhunden som inte brukar inte vara här så tidigt på morgonen. Ginger satt tålmodigt och väntade på att killen skulle komma fram men han rantade bara runt omkring henne med distans. Eftersom hanhunden fortsatte att gå åt det hållet som vi kom ifrån fick jag inte med mig Ginger åt det andra hållet så vi vände och gick tillbaka tillsammans med den andra hunden. 

Vid ett av grannhuset stod en parkerad bil med motorn och lysen på och man hörde musik stråla ut från bilen. Rutorna var så tonade att jag inte kunde se in i bilen för att se om nån satt och sov i den. När jag gick mina varv runt Procab var statusen densamma med bilen så himla skumt.

En av nackdelarna att inte ha bil längre är att jag inte kan ta med Ginger till stranden i La Boca, där hon för det mesta kunde springa lös och nosa runt som hon ville. Det kan hon inte göra på stranden här i Cabarete för jag litar inte på henne, helt plötsligt står hon i baren på en av strandrestaurangerna och beställer nåt att äta och dricka 😁

Jag fortsatte med mitt jobb i studio 2 direkt efter frukost. Jag hade inte tänkt att moppa golvet idag men det låg en död ödla bakom sängen. Den var mer som en äcklig våt boll än torkad som dom brukar vara, när jag sopade upp ödlan då kom den stora likmaskar ur den så äckligt. Jag tyckte dessutom att den luktade så förutom att dammsuga och moppa golvet satte jag dit en arompuck som får vara kvar till det närmar sig incheckning. Golven får jag fräscha till på torsdag eller fredag igen och ta bort maskeringstejpen som fick sitta kvar. För övrigt är allt preppat och rent inför kommande check in.

Jag fick ytterligare en säck med tvätt utanför min dörr imorse, den tvätten hänger nu på tork, med lite tur är den snart torr. Jag gissar att vädret kommer att ändras mot eftermiddagen som den har gjort dom senaste dagarna till moln och risk för regn, än så länge är det soligt.

Dead lizard & maggots

It was lucky that Ginger and I went for a longer walk around 4pm because not long after we came home the rain came and it rained until late in the evening. Ginger tried her usual pleading look at me while whining a little to get another walk, but I know she doesn't want to go out when it's raining. I opened the door and told Ginger that she can go out into the garden if she wants but she turned around and went back inside when she saw how much it was raining.

Even though we got a lot of rain, all the water disappeared into the ground so we don't have extra pools and there weren't any large pools of water around Procab either.

Ginger and I were woken up by a noise, I thought it was a bird flying into a window but it probably wasn't. After a little morning snuggle with Ginger, we went out for a walk earlier than usual. When Ginger saw the male dog who usually walk himself here in Procab, she jumped of joy, she was eager to say hello but her eagerness scared the male dog who normally is not here this early in the morning. Ginger patiently sat down waited for the dog to come to her but he just moved around her with a distance. Since the male dog kept going in the direction we came from, I couldn't persuade Ginger to come with me in the other direction so we turned around and went back with the other dog.

At one of the neighboring houses was a parked car with the engine and lights on and you could hear music emanating from the car. The windows were so tinted that I couldn't see inside the car to see if anyone was sleeping in it. When I did my laps around Procab, the status was the same with the car, very shady.

One of the downsides of not having a car any more is that I can't take Ginger to the beach in La Boca, where she could mostly run freely and sniff around as she pleased. She can't do that on the beach here in Cabarete because I don't trust her, all of a sudden she for sure will be at the bar of one of the beach restaurants ordering something to eat and drink 😁

I continued with my work in studio 2 straight after breakfast. I hadn't planned to mop the floor today but there was a dead lizard behind the bed. It was more like a disgusting wet ball than dried as they usually are, when I swept up the lizard big maggots came out of it so disgusting. I also thought it smelled, so in addition to vacuuming and mopping the floor, I put an aroma puck in the apartment that will remain there until it's close to check-in. I will refreshen the floors again on Thursday or Friday and remove the masking tape that is still on the baseboard. Otherwise, everything is prepared and clean for the upcoming check-in.

I got another sack of laundry outside my door this morning, that laundry is now hanging to dry, with a little luck it will be dry soon. I guess the weather will change towards the afternoon as it has done the last few days to clouds and risk of rain, so far it's very sunny.
