Färdig nästan i alla fall

Miguels killar behövde lite mer färg så Miguel kom med det och han tog en extra titt på poolen. Vi fick veta att färgen behöver hårdna till lördag och om det regnar då måste vi ta bort vattnet från poolen för att ytan inte ska krackelera. Enligt kommande väder ska det inte komma regn förrän lördag-söndag så jag hoppas att vi har tur så att vi slipper hålla på att tömma poolen och torka den. Om allt går som det ska kommer en vattentankbil på lördag, vi har beställt fyra fyllningar, jag hoppas att vi kan göra en deal för ett bättre pris om vi tar 5 eller 6 fyllningar. Killarna städade undan alla saker och ställde dom i carporten dom tvättade bort färgfläckar. När dom hade gått var det fritt fram för Ginger att springa in och ut som hon vill igen.

Det är stört omöjligt att stoppa löv och frön från att landa i poolen, fröna har förstås fastnat lite i färgen men poolen ser fantastisk ut. Seija säger att vattnet i poolen kommer att se turkost-grönt ut med den vita färgen, det låter väldigt snyggt.

Imorse fortsatte vi att forsla grus till baksidan av huset, Seija fyllde skottkärran medan jag skyfflade ut gruset där det skulle vara. Medan jag väntade på grus plockade jag upp mandlar och krattade löv runt septiktanken, ett otacksamt jobb då det direkt rasar ner nya mandlar och löv. Vi fortsatte så länge som det fanns grus kvar, det räckte inte till hela ytan som vi hade tänkt, imorgon beställer jag hem mer grus samma mängd som vi tog denna gång då räcker det helt säkert till att fylla på grus bakom lägenhetshuset också.

När gruset var slut då bar jag bort kakelplattorna som blev kvar till förrådet vid porten där hamnade även påsen med glasmosaiken. Vilket tur att jag tog hand om den mosaik som blev över efter Tolgas gubbar hade satt bården i poolen på så vis behövde vi inte köpa mer av den. Dom hade slängt mosaiken på högen med skräp som var på uppfarten då, dom sa inget om det när dom tog sina prylar härifrån.

Vårt parasoll har varit inpackat i plast nu fick jag för mig att jag skulle ta bort plasten och veva upp parasollet. När jag vevade upp parasollet gick det inte helt upp, med Seijas hjälp försökte vi att få till det men det gick inte. Det visade sig att snöret har gått av, jag lyckades dessutom att dra ut hela snöret ur röret. Vi fick till slut igenom snöret i röret ut till veven med hjälp av fiskelina och en sten som tyngd. När vi skulle fästa snöret hittade vi inte hålet/öglan, efter ett tag sa jag -vi sover på det och tar tag i det imorgon med fräscha ögon mera inte så svettiga och trötta. Parasollet får ligga som död på terrassen till imorgon då tar vi nya tag. Jag ska kolla på Youtube om det finns nån info som kan vara till vår hjälp.

Miguel kom förbi för att hämta sina prylar som killarna och jag hade placerat i carporten. Det stod nämligen kvar lite i förrådet vid trappen som jag bar dit strax innan Miguel kom. Ginger har blivit så duktig när det ringer på dörren eller när porten öppnas, hon springer för det mesta direkt in. När Miguel ringde på då bad jag Ginger att gå in, det gjorde hon utan problem. Jag stängde inte dörren som jag brukar, Ginger stannade kvar inomhus även när Miguel kollade till poolen tillsammans med Seija. Innan Miguel gick berömde jag hans arbete, jag ville verkligen att han ska veta att jag är så imponerad, att han är den absolut bästa vi har haft att göra med när det kommer till pool. Han sa att han har jobbat med det här i 25 år. Jag kommer att varmt rekommendera Miguel så fort jag hör att nån är ute efter hjälp med poolen. Ginger fick beröm när jag kallade på henne och sa att det är fritt fram att gå ut och in igen.

Ready, almost anyway

Miguel's guys needed a little more paint so Miguel brought it and he took an extra look at the pool. We were told that the paint needs to cure until Saturday and if it rains then we have to remove the water from the pool to prevent the surface from cracking by cold water. According to the upcoming weather forecast, there is no rain until Saturday-Sunday I hope we are lucky so that we do not have to keep draining the pool and drying it. If all goes well, a water tanker will arrive on Saturday, we have ordered four fills, I hope we can make a deal for a better price if we take 5 or 6. The guys picked up all the things and put them in the carport they cleaned away the paint stains on the terrace. When they had left it was free for Ginger to run in and out as she pleases again.

It is absolutely impossible to stop leaves and seeds from landing in the pool, the seeds have of course got stuck a little in the paint but the pool looks fantastic. Seija says that the water in the pool will look turquoise-green with the white color, it sounds very nice.

This morning we continued to haul gravel to the back of the house, Seija filled the wheelbarrow while I shoveled the gravel out on to the area. While I was waiting for the gravel, I picked up almonds and raked leaves around the septic tank, a thankless job as new almonds and leaves immediately fall down. We continued as long as there was gravel left, it was not enough for the entire area that we had planned to put gravel on. Tomorrow I will order more gravel the same amount as we took this time, then it will definitely be enough to fill up with gravel behind the apartment building as well.

When the gravel was finished, I carried the tiles that were left to the storage room by the gate, where the bag with the glass mosaic also ended up. How lucky we were that I took care of the mosaic that was left after Tolga's guys had put the border around the pool, that way we didn't have to buy more of it. They had thrown the mosaic on the pile of rubbish that was on the driveway at the time, they didn't say anything about it when they took their stuff away.

Our parasol had been wrapped in plastic during the pool work, today I thought it was a good idea to remove the plastic and crank up the parasol. When I cranked up the parasol, it wouldn't go all the way up. With Seija's help, we tried to get it to work, but it didn't. It turned out that the core had broken, and I also managed to pull the whole core out of the tube. We finally got the core through the tube  using fishing line and a stone as a weight. When we were going to attach the core, we couldn't find the hole/loop, after a while I said - we'll sleep on it and tackle it tomorrow with fresh eyes, it will say not so sweaty and tired. The parasol will lie like dead on the terrace until tomorrow, when we'll take a fresh approach. I'll check YouTube to see if there's any info that can help us.

Miguel came by to pick up his stuff that the guys and I had placed in the carport. There was some left in the storage room by the stairs that I put there just before Miguel arrived. Ginger has become so good when the doorbell rings or when the gate opens, she usually runs straight in. When Miguel rang the bell, I asked Ginger to go inside, which she did without any problems. I didn't close the door like I usually do, Ginger stayed inside even when Miguel checked the pool with Seija. Before Miguel left, I praised his work, I really wanted him to know how impressed I am of his work and that he is the absolute best we've ever had to deal with when it comes to the pool. He said he's been working with this for 25 years. I will highly recommend Miguel as soon as I hear that someone is looking for help with the pool. Ginger was praised when I called her to say that she was free to go in and out again.
